AKRON -- It was a next day "deja vu." The Division I and II girls results for the Akron Swimming Sectionals at Ocasek Natatorium looked quite a bit like Friday's boys results. Hudson and Walsh Jesuit again won their divisions, scoring 463.50 and 423 points, respectively.
North Division:
Automatic qualifiers in the 200-yard medley relay were two SportsInk.com teams, Hudson and Firestone. The Hudson team of freshman Natalie Hill, senior Kelly Cartwright, freshman Connie Gan and freshman Laura Murphy swam 1:53.74.
Firestone standouts freshman Katie Miller and sophomore Katie Campbell qualified to districts in several events. Both were on the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams. Campbell placed first in the 200 freestyle (1:55.54) and the 100 freestyle (53.75). Miller also notched two wins in both the 200 individual medley (2:07.39) and the 500 freestyle (5:02.11).
