BRIMFIELD TWP., Ohio – Non-conference dual cross country meets have become a bit of an anomaly.

The Blue Devils won the boys meet 23-35 behind Brian McGovern (17:14) and Pat Ferguson (17:15) placing 1-2, respectively, over the 5,000-meter course.

Nate Conroy, son of Field coach Ed Conroy, placed third (17:30), and was followed by teammate Kole Williams (17:52) in the fourth spot.

Field won the girls meet 18-44, using a 1-2 showing by Destiny Cosentino (21:04) and Kaitlyn Stayer (21:16) to pull away from Tallmadge.

Mary Hillegas was tops for the Blue Devils, placing third (21:51).
